ABOUT THE EXAMINATION

What does the examination include?

OCT works like ultrasound with light and produces microscopic cross-sections of the retina, macula and optic nerve without touching the eye. It helps detect and monitor glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

Dilating drops are occasionally required; if used, you must not drive after the examination.
