ABOUT THE EXAMINATION

What does the examination include?

The complete OCT examination combines a dilated ophthalmological assessment with advanced 3D imaging of the back of the eye, providing a microscopic view of the retinal layers, macula and optic nerve.

After refraction, keratometry and tonometry, we determine the final correction. We then dilate the pupils, perform OCT and examine the front and back of the eye with a biomicroscope. The specialist explains the images, provides a report and recommends next steps.

Important: Do not drive for 2–4 hours after dilation. Bring a companion and sunglasses.
