ABOUT THE EXAMINATION

What does the examination include?

The extended examination provides a detailed view from the cornea to the back of the eye. After the initial measurements, drops are administered and we wait 15–20 minutes for the pupils to dilate.

The specialist examines the retina, optic nerve, macula and blood vessels. It is especially important for diabetes, high blood pressure, high myopia, sudden visual changes and preventive care after age 40.

Important: Vision will be blurred and light-sensitive for 2–4 hours. Do not drive; bring a companion and sunglasses.
